Can I tour the property before signing a lease?

Absolutely! We offer in-person tours all business days and virtual tours anytime on our Instagram account. Book a tour by giving us a call/text/email. We recommend scheduling at least 24 hours in advance to ensure a leasing agent is available to answer all your questions. We look forward to meeting you!

Is parking available and how much does it cost?

Yes, we pride ourselves in striving to ensure our residents have a parking spot at this complex or sister properties. Parking passes are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, and we send out a form about 3-6 weeks before the start of a semester where you can sign up for parking.

Sorry, pets are not allowed at BYU-Idaho Approved Housing Properties.

How do I submit maintenance requests?

Submit requests through our resident portal 24/7. Urgent requests (no heat, water leak, fire, gas problems) are addressed ASAP through emergency services and our emergency maintenance contact. We aim to complete standard requests within 24 business hours. Our maintenance team is one of the best around! We look forward to serving you!

Can I have guests stay overnight?

Overnight guests are strongly discouraged so as to ensure we respect the space of your roommates, the common areas in your unit, and parking for other residents. Please see the "Guests" section of your contract.

When is rent due and what payment methods do you accept?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month with a 5-day grace period. We accept ACH bank transfers (the preferred method for both cost and convenience), credit/debit cards, and checks. Set up autopay to never miss a payment. A late fee applies after the grace period.

How close is the property to campus?

You couldn't be closer without actually being on BYU-Idaho's campus! We are directly across the street. Our location is also fantastic as we are a 1 minute walk to the Hart Building with BYU-Idaho's gym.

Do you offer short-term or summer leases?

Yes, we offer partial lease terms for the Spring Semester and we offer summer-only leases for those who have a Fall Semester contract. Summer leases typically run from the end of Spring Semester to the start of Fall Semester. We look forward to having you stay with us!

Is renters insurance required?

We do not require renters' insurance; however, we strongly encourage our residents to buy it! Like any insurance, it's really nice to have when you need it. Whenever you are renting (as a student or otherwise), we encourage you to carry insurance.

Carriage House has been a wonderful home to me my first semester on campus. I love it because it has a perfect cozy atmosphere, not too modern and not old or run down at all, and has the perfect amount of space, enough that you can be comfortable and not so much that there's excess to pay for. It's affordable too and great quality for the price with those things in mind! The management is EXCELLENT. They sweetly receive any concern I bring to them and offer any help when they can. They are vigilant with clean checks and maintenance and keeping the complex warm and welcoming for the residents. They're like friends! I've loved it here and I will certainly be coming back my next semester.

I moved into Carriage House my first semester and stayed there until I graduated. If you're looking for something more affordable than neighboring complexes like North Point and the Cedars, it is definitely the best deal. The community is nice and intimate, and both of the wards I was in were very welcoming. While the apartments are on the older side, they never felt dingy or dirty, and despite the occasional broken appliances maintenance is very prompt and will usually come within a day of submitting your request. One of the only real issues I had was with the thin walls and ceilings, which made for some noise problems with neighbors, but that's to be expected in student housing so it was never a huge deal. Management is very friendly and willing to work with you through any issues. Overall, I enjoyed my Carriage House experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for affordable housing near both campus and food.

I am a parent. FEES. Application and security deposits are reasonable. The semester cost is great for the amenities: two fridges, washer & dryer in the unit, drawers under the bed, storage for luggage under the beds, 2 desks per bedroom, two bathroom set up. LOCATION. My daughters had their major classes on the north part of campus, so that was great!. Close to the Walmart shuttle stop. Close to the Salt Lake Express shuttle. MANAGEMENT. Management was reasonable with cleaning checks. My daughter once was charged for failing to clean something. The fee was reasonable. AC. My daughter wanted AC for Spring term. Her roommates did not. So they put the unit in her window. She enjoyed her room that term! Also, my daughters said that the maintenance crew was responsive to any requests. INSURANCE. If you want renter's insurance then that is on you. This last year Carriage House did not require insurance like many other complexes. That may change in the future depending on BYU-I requirements, maybe? (I guess that one of the drawbacks for Carriage House is that there they don't have men's apartments.)

Very clean, heavy on clean checks. They happen once a week and are pretty strict. Very good location, just across from campus. Great price for two bathrooms, two fridges, and in unit laundry. I had a great stay here.

Great price for location! I lived here the whole time i went to BYU-I! The apartments are clean, and well kept up. Washer & dryer in every apartment! I like that it's a smaller complex because it gives it a more cozy feel.
